Curtis Ivie was born about 1785 in Virginia.  He probably lived in Kentucky before settling in Wabash County, IL about 1820.  He married Malinda Plough on December 20, 1814 in Franklin, KY.  He married Caroline Blanton October 27, 1834.  She was born November 27, 1810 in Kentucky, and died January 02, 1891 in IL.  Curtis died March 1, 1852 in IL.

Curtis and Malinda had 3 sons, Sylvester, John, and another son, name unknown.

Curtis and Caroline had 6 children:  Mary Jane, James Francis, William Curtis, Caroline Seralda,  Hiram J., and  Walter F. Ivie.
